The White Poplar Tree near Stara Pazova (Populus alba L.) is located on the road between Stara Pazova and Stari Banovci. It has been recognized as a botanical natural monument since 1983, classified as a Category III significant natural asset, and is registered in the Central Register of Protected Assets at the Institute for Nature Conservation of Serbia in Novi Sad. The tree’s position is determined by geographic coordinates 44°59’14’’ N latitude and 20°12’30’’ E longitude according to Greenwich. The natural monument is situated at an altitude of 84 meters above sea level, with a tree height of 35 meters. The trunk height at 1.30 meters is 3.00 meters, the crown span is 32 meters, and the trunk circumference at stem diameter height is 6.50 meters. The age of the White Poplar near Stara Pazova is estimated to be around 110 years, making it a very rare, monumental specimen of this indigenous tree species in Vojvodina. According to ancient mythology, the White Poplar is dedicated to Hercules, who defeated a fiery monster in a cave on the Aventine Hill covered with these trees. At the moment of his triumph, he crowned the hilltop with a heap of White Poplar, as evidence of his victory.
