Considering that the church was built in 1748, it is assumed that there was also a temporary wood chapel in 1713, when Krnješevci was mentioned as an inhabited place. The temple of the Annunciation to the Most Holy Mother of God in Krnješevci was built of building material in the classical style at the beginning of the third decade of the 19th century. In the temple in Krnješevci there was a rare icon Nedremano oko, which was made around 1730. It is the work of an unknown icon-writer, and today it is kept in the gallery of Matica srpska in Novi Sad.
